For a while now Ella and I have been discussing what she could give to her prep teacher at the end of the year, as both a Christmas present and thank you gift. In the end we agreed that something Ella made herself, with love, would be the most generous of gifts.

Watercolours to the ready Ella painted this picture for her teacher - a beach scene of a "lovely long sandy beach with the waves gently rolling in". I think Miss F will be pleased.

I agree. That's amazing composition for her age! Nice one Ella.

Very nice! I'm sure it will be framed right away.

That truly is beautiful Ella. I have a huge collection of my girl's paintings at that age. There is something surreal in the way simple forms are painted by children. It's just seeing things for what they really are and painting them with basic form and shape that makes them abstract masterpieces. Victoria, let Ella go on a huge canvas (with a little bit of colour control) and you will have a treasure to hang in your home. This kind of work doesn't stay with them for too long!
