Some days I can handle the mess and other days I can't. Yesterday I realised that IF I'd had my dream house when the girls were this age, as in now, it would have included a separate play wing where I could leave the mess in it's place and just close the door when the day was over but the play remained unfinished. In that dream house there would also be a live in housekeeper who cleaned when it was finished. In reality, our kitchen's not at all like that, it's the centre of play and the centre of "homeiness" (read mess) and you have to go through it to get everywhere else. Sometimes you just have to close your eyes to the mess.

I love those collage (?) faces!
It seems to have them preoccupied though. I know what you mean about the mess. At times I'm glad I have to pack it away at the end of play, or I may never get back to it!
Nice to see the new dress getting a workout.
Based on our painting effort the other day, I just gave them a bucket of water to paint the brickwork with today. I think it was Max who painted the top of Addie's head & she did her own face. Who started it I don't know....I have however already had to clean the wall several times because of Addie.
I love the work the kids made. Great big paper.
SO nice seeing two little ones working together. Yes I am also the same - some days I can cope some days I just will not have it! I try so hard to impart this great gift to the boys but so far it is an ongoing challenge!
And what creative mess that is. Gorgeous girls. Gorgeous drawings. Looks like the perfect pozzie for an artfest.
Putting up with the mess - it's all about surrender isn't it? Easier to do some days than others.
As a kinder teacher - that's wonderful that you are encouraging their creativity
As a mum - who's going to clean this mess up!
This looks far easier to clean up than play-doh, which is what my children's favorite at the moment.
$15.00 for a pumpkin is totally excessive. We pose our children at the pumpkin patch because of the great selection of giant pumpkins. They charge up to $15.00 also. However, to keep from totally getting ripped off, we go to our local grocery store and buy the pumpkins for half the price!
